2018 Acura TLX Safety Features

Monday, September 18th, 2017

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas always has the safety of our customers first and foremost. That’s why our Acura location would love to introduce you to the safety features of the 2018 Acura TLX.

Street Smart

Acura’s goal is to create a society where there are no collisions and AcuraWatch has advanced safety and driver-assist technology to reach that goal. AcuraWatch is designed to improve awareness, assist with avoidance and help mitigate impact.

Blind Spot Information System

If the TLX detects another vehicle in the next lane riding along your blind spot, an indicator appears for you. If you attempt to signal in the direction of that vehicle, the indicator will flash and emit warning beeping sounds.

Rear Cross Traffic Monitor

Backing up is always a pain and this feature alleviates some of the pain by detecting approaching vehicles from either side while backing up. By communicating with the Multi-View Rear Camera, sound and arrow signals alert you of an oncoming vehicle.

Front & Rear Parking Sensors

Featured in the A-SPEC and Advanced packages, these innovative parking sensors detect when the vehicle is close to an object or surface with a series of beeps.

Vehicle Stability Assist

Wet conditions are always a nervous proposition when driving. Vehicle Stability Assist reduces the dangers of over and under steering and a loss of traction by applying brakes at each wheel as need and reducing engine power when necessary.

TLX Efficiency, What You Need To Know

Wednesday, April 13th, 2016

The all-new Acura TLX has been designed in such a manner that it’s equipped with precise control features that are further enhanced by its Super Handling All-Wheel Drive – SH-AWD™. It is a sophisticated and contemporary system that has been specifically designed for boosting high-performance and handling dry-roads. It also offers similar advantages in all weathers through its conventional all-wheel drive.

SH-AWD® offers great agility and effortless power transitions through continuous direction of engine power so that driver input, available traction and weight distribution can be matched.

  • Its system is equipped to continuously ascertain and balance the distribution of power between its rear and front wheels and also between individual rear wheels. It does so by continuously analyzing the steering angle, sped of the wheel, yaw rate and lateral G-force.
  • In order to further enhance the fuel efficiency, as much as 90 percent of the entire power is transmitted to its front wheels while cruising takes place in an absolute straight line.
  • During hard acceleration, weight gets shifted to its rear and 45 percent of the total engine power is transferred to its rear wheels by the SH-AWD® Thus complete advantage of extra and available traction is taken.
  • Understeer is further reduced by the TLX’s SH-AWD®. Moreover the latter enhances stability by making sure that its outside real wheel is revolved up to 2.7 percent faster as compared to its other wheels thus assisting in rotating the car while turning.

If you want to buy an Acura TLX, walk into CardinaleWay Acura today.
