After skipping the 2021 model year, the Acura MDX is back in full force, taking its place among competitors with a redesign that’s sure to please customers of dealers serving Henderson Acura shoppers. Acura redesigned the MDX to provide exceptional performance. This midsize three-row luxury SUV gets a host of enhancements, including styling cues taken from the RDX and TLX. Inside, the driver and passengers will marvel at the MDX’s high level of luxury and appointments, including open-pore wood, full-grain Milano leather and aluminum accents.
According to the Acura dealer serving Hendeson, the 2022 Acura MDX is available in four trim levels, which Acura refers to as packages: MDX, Technology, A-Spec and Advance. In addition, there’s a new performance-oriented Type S model. Powering the MDX is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The outgoing model’s nine-speed automatic transmission is replaced by a fast-shifting 10-speed automatic with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Acura’s Super-Handling All-wheel drive (SH-AWD) is available on the base model and the MDX with the Technology package, which get standard front-wheel drive. SH-AWD is standard on the A-Spec and Advance trims.
The Type S is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that achieves 355 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard.
EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2022 Acura MDX stands at 19 mpg city/26 mpg highway for front-wheel-drive models.* With all-wheel drive, those numbers drop slightly to 19 mpg city/25 mpg highway.
