The RDX also provides great value, with a price tag that’s less than many other vehicles in its class.

The 2019 Acura RDX’s standard engine is more powerful than the base engine under the hood of the 2019 BMW X3. The RDX is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that develops 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The X3 has a base 2.0-liter turbo-four-that only puts out 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the RDX gets a standard 10-speed automatic transmission that provides acceleration and lower engine speed on the freeway, while the X3 only has an eight-speed automatic.
Compare Cargo Capacity
Passengers with lots of gear to take along for the ride will appreciate the Acura RDX, which affords 31.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seat up and 79.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The BMW X3 only offers 28.7 cubic feet with the rear seats up and 62.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The RDX has an optional Advance package that includes a hands-free liftgate that can be opened and closed by kicking your foot under the rear bumper. The X3 doesn’t offer a hands-free liftgate.
The Acura RDX has more passenger volume than the BMW X3. The RDX has a total of 104 cubic feet, while the X3 gets 101.4 cubic feet. The driver and passengers will feel more comfortable inside the RDX than the X3. The RDX has 1.3 inches more front legroom, 2.1 inches more front shoulder room, 2 inches more rear legroom, and .6 inches more rear shoulder room than the X3.
The 2019 Acura RDX has a longer powertrain warranty than the 2019 BMW X3. The RDX comes with a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which covers repairs on the engine, transmission, driveshafts, axles and joints. The X3 only gets a 4-year/50,000-mile powertrain warranty.
