CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas’ 24 Hours in Vegas

Monday, September 11th, 2017

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas knows that you can do a lot in Las Vegas over a weekend, but what about if you only had 24 hours? Our Acura location has the perfect day planned for you in Vegas.

Morning

Getting a good breakfast in your stomach during your time at Las Vegas is extremely important and we recommend going to Veranda at Four Seasons Hotel. You can order s’mores French toast, chicken and waffles and homemade pastries.

This leads us to our first attraction, the Las Vegas Welcome Sign, only a mile south of Four Seasons Hotel. It is the most iconic attraction in Las Vegas and a must see.

Next is the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York. This is strictly for the thrill-seekers so feel free to skip if you don’t want to go.

Noon

Once it’s about noon you should then see the Fountains of Bellagio to get some beautiful pictures. The water shoots up 460 feet into the air on weekends and is truly a sight to see.

Since you’re around the Bellagio, be sure to visit the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. This display changes with the seasons so you’ll never see the same stunning scenery twice.

For lunch, you can visit Caesars Palace to find the best buffet in town, the Bacchanal Buffet. This spread is sure to satisfy and you’ll want to fill up as dinner time is late in Vegas

To kill off the food, next you’ll want to do some shopping and sightseeing at The Forum Shops at Caesars. There are 160 stores, Roman statues, a replica of Trevi Fountain, The Fall of Atlantis fountain show and much more.

Evening

Go home and get dressed for the evening, next is the Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. This is a stunning scene as a three-story bar surrounded by dangling chandelier crystals is one of a kind.

Now it’s dinner time and you can get great food at Giada’s at The Cromwell. You owe it to yourself to dine at a celebrity chef’s restaurant, so make sure to order some fantastic food and drinks.

Night

For those with energy left in the tank, you can start your night at The Label at The Palazzo. This lounge has jazz music and signature drinks that are dedicated to Frank Sinatra.

Next is the XS Nightclub inside Winn Las Vegas, one of the top-five highest grossing clubs in the United States. You’ll have a blast dancing your heart out to some great music.

Lastly, you must surely be wanting to try to win some money at this point. So visit The Stratosphere to try make your night an even more memorable one. Now that’s how you spend a day in Vegas!

Visit Us!

Our Las Vegas dealership hopes that this list inspires you to spend a great day in Vegas. Be sure to visit our dealership to meet our staff and learn about our new and used Acura vehicles. We look forward to serving you!

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas’ 3 Best Things To Do In Vegas

Wednesday, August 9th, 2017

We are all about having a good time in Las Vegas and our Las Vegas dealership, CardinaleWay Acura has made a list of the 5 best things to do in Vegas.

Place A Bet

Of course you’re going to place at least one bet in the Sin City, don’t kid yourself. There are plenty of casinos to choose from and Caesars Palace is a great place to start with your first or only bet of the trip. There will be plenty of games to choose from like poker, baccarat, roulette, craps, etc. and you’ll want to be sure to do a little research before you begin betting. The legendary Golden Nugget casino is also a great visit as you’ll find the grizzled veterans plying their trade in poker there. For those who want to stay with slots or video poker, the Palms is great for your payouts and experience.

See A Concert

The world’s best performers gather in Las Vegas to show off their skills just for you. You should definitely take advantage, as A-list musicians and bands set up and jam in casino showrooms for extended runs that make it a more intimate experience. So when you plan to visit Vegas, make sure to check your calendars to see who the best headliners are during your time here.

Sip The Finest Wine In The World

We’re going to let you in on a secret here, beneath the Rio is the Rio Wine Cellar and Tasting Room. Many are completely oblivious to the fact that you can sip from a $10 million wine collection right under the hotel! This gold mine allows you to buy and try some of the finest wine ever, like the vertical collection of Chateau d’Yquem or a bottle of Madeira from Thomas Jefferson’s personal stash. This is a great place to take both wine beginners and wine snobs alike, as the experience is something you’ll never forget.

Visit CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas

These three activities are on our must-do list while you’re in Las Vegas. Our dealership would also like to welcome you to visit us so that you can explore our Acura new cars and used cars alike. Las Vegas’ Best Golf Courses

Tuesday, July 25th, 2017

CardinaleWay Acura knows the importance of enjoying the outdoors and what better way to do that than visit our great local golf courses! Our Las Vegas dealership has compiled a list of our favorite golf courses to visit that we think you should consider yourself.

Aliante Golf Club

Located in Elkhorn, this tough course stretches more than 7,000 yards from the back tees. A meandering creek comes into play on 14 holes, providing a mix of contours and unique playing lines.

Angel Park Golf Club

This course was designed by Arnold “The King” Palmer and it offers 36 holes of championship golf. One 18 is called the Palm Course and it has a traditional layout with classic shotmaking obstacles to a Par 70. The other 18 is called the Mountain Course and it has a more modern approach to the course design with a Par 71. Angel Park also has a 12-hole Cloud Nine Short course, a 9-hole putting course and a full practice facility with a 3,000 sq. ft. putting green and a chipping area.

Arroyo Golf at Red Rock

This course was also designed by Palmer and resides in the Red Rock Canyon of Las Vegas. This course meanders through the rugged desert and mountain terrain with subtle shifts in elevation, making for some truly unique golf. The daily-fee-only clubhouse has a golf shop as well as a bar and grill with a lovely patio. It has excellent views of Red Rock Canyon and the city below.

We hope that this list helps you find the perfect golf course for you and playing partners to enjoy. How to Extend the Life of Your Acura & Save At The Pump

Wednesday, July 12th, 2017

Our #CardinaleWayAcura Las Vegas dealership would like to share some tips on helping your Acura serve you well for as long as possible. We also invite you to visit our dealership to see the latest Acura vehicles. Acura is owned by Honda.

Stay in tune
Keep your engine as well tuned as possible. A poorly tuned engine can increase fuel consumption by up to 50 percent! Regular tune-ups, using the right grade of oil and having clean air filters will help you burn less gas, pollute less and more importantly, will prevent car trouble down the line.

Be aware of your surroundings
Observe the speed limit and avoid sudden starts and stops. Did you know that erratic acceleration and quick braking uses more fuel than driving in a smoother fashion? In addition, the wind resistance caused by driving fast ends up costing you money. For every 5 mph you drive over the 60 mph mark, you add more than ten cents to the price of every gallon of gas you buy.

Make sure your tires are properly inflated
Did you know that nearly 36% of cars are driven with underinflated tires? Check your tire pressure regularly with a tire gauge. Underinflated tires reduce fuel efficiency by up to 2 percent for each pound that the tires are not properly inflated.

Use your air conditioner less
Your vehicle’s air conditioner uses power generated by the engine, so only use it when necessary for short periods. Parking in the shade and using a reflective windshield shade will help keep your car cool on hot days.

Get the junk outta’ your trunk
Avoid carrying extra weight in your car. Extra weight saps your fuel economy, so unless you’re planning on playing that day, leave those golf clubs at home.

Explore the Wonders of Venice at The Venetian

Monday, July 10th, 2017

If you haven’t yet visited The Venetian in Las Vegas, you’re in for a treat. This grand resort has just about all the highlights of Venice, including the Campanile Tower where Galileo first demonstrated his telescope to the Doge of Venice, to St. Marc’s square, to art installations, fountains and more. Make sure to find time to take a romantic glide on the Grand Canal in an authentic Venetian gondola, guided by your own singing gondolier. The Venetian has it all. CardinaleWay Acura Las Vegas has it all when it comes to your transportation needs. We hope you’ll pay us a visit when you’re in the market for a new set of wheels. We have the latest Acura new cars and would love to set you up for a test drive.

Art at the Venetian

“Another Sky” is new installation in the Waterfall Atrium that debuted in June 2017. Artist Anne Patterson was inspired by the sky and tailored the installation to the unique architecture of the Waterfall Atrium. Another Sky features approximately 32 miles of reflective ribbon in the soaring 55-foot atrium ceiling.

“Acqua di Cristallo” stands in the center of the Palazzo Lobby. This unique water sculpture by Samuel G. Bocchicchio’s features translucent carved women on the sides of the sculpture, while water provides a coruscating effect that casts light all about the grand lobby of the hotel. This gorgeous work of art occupies two levels of The Palazzo, with its base on the ground level.

Take a Romantic Gondola Ride
Make sure to leave time for a romantic glide down the Grand Canal in an authentic Venetian gondola. Your singing gondolier will take you under bridges and balconies, beside cafes and through the vibrant Venetian streetscape.  You can also choose an outdoor ride on the Strip.

How to Keep Your Pets Safe While Traveling

Wednesday, June 14th, 2017

At CardinaleWay Acura Las Vegas, we want to help you keep your pets safe while you’re on the road. Here are our top safety tips from the #HumaneSociety for safe travel with your four-legged family members. We hope you’ll come to CardinaleWay Acura Las Vegas when you’re looking for a new set of wheels for your family.  We are proud to feature the entire line of Acura new cars.

Like Small Children, Pets Need to Be in Second or Third Row Seats
Your pets do not belong in the front seat! Keep them in the back seat of the car. In the event of a collision, a pet could be injured if an airbag is deployed while your pet is in the passenger seat, even if safely crated! Don’t take chances.

Animals Need to Be Crated
Securely fastened crates provide the safest way for your dog or cat to travel in the car.

Keep Pets Safely Inside the Car
Dogs and cats should always be kept safely inside the car as they can be injured by flying debris or particles. Never ever transport a pet in the bed of an open pickup truck and don’t even let them stick their heads out the windows.

 –

Make Frequent Stops
Stop often to allow your pet to exercise and go to the bathroom. Always make sure your pet is wearing a collar, ID tag and leash.

Don’t Leave Pets Alone in Your Vehicle!
A quick pit stop may feel like no time at all to you, but it’s often much too long to leave your pet alone in the car. Heat is a killer! Even when it’s a moderate 72 degrees Fahrenheit outside, the temperature inside your car can heat up to 116 degrees within an hour. Your car can reach 102 degrees in just 10 minutes on an 85-degree day, even with the windows cracked open.

Honda Marine Science Foundation Supports Coastal Preservation

Thursday, June 8th, 2017

The Honda Marine Science Foundation was founded in February 2017 as a new initiative to address marine ecosystem restoration and the impact of humans and climate change on oceans and intertidal areas. The founders were inspired by the Japanese concept of sato-umi which is the convergence of land and sea where human and marine life can harmoniously coexist. The foundation will support science-based programs that improve and preserve coastal areas for future generations. Their first initiative is the Southern California Native Oyster Restoration Project. To learn more, visit CardinaleWay Acura Las Vegas. Acura is owned by Honda.

Background
In 2015, Honda began researching impacts on oceans and aquatic species caused by a rapidly changing climate, ocean acidification and rising sea levels. Honda also wanted to address human impacts on marine environments, including water pollution and overfishing.

“As a company dedicated to sustainability, we are proud to launch the Honda Marine Science Foundation and focus on coastal environmental awareness,” said Steven Center, #HondaMarineScienceFoundation chairman. “After learning about the challenges and opportunities presented to us by a range of oceanic and atmospheric experts, Honda determined the foundation would foster meaningful cross-sector collaboration to help restore our marine ecosystems.”

Partners
The Southern California Native Oyster Restoration Project is being conducted in partnership with the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Bren School of Environmental Science & Management.  Project goals include pioneering research to educate the public about the benefits of restoring native oysters for shoreline stabilization.

The Honda Marine Science Foundation board includes Honda representatives as well as experts from the marine sciences field, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Santa Monica-based Heal the Bay, UCSB Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, and the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. The board will help identify projects that support the foundation’s mission and provide guidance for these projects.

How to Avoid Hot Weather Car Issues

Wednesday, May 31st, 2017

Did you know that proper car care can save up to $1,200 a year in emergency repairs? Here are some easy tips to help avoid the most common warm weather car issues without breaking a sweat. Our CardinaleWay Acura Las Vegas service technicians are here to help. It’s easy to schedule an appointment online at www.cardinalewayacura.com.

1) Flat Tire
More construction and more traffic on the road mean more flat tires occur during the summer. Make sure you know how to fix a flat yourself. Even better, make sure to check your tires regularly to avoid a blowout or flat.
Prevent It: Set a reminder in your phone to check your tire pressure once a month. You can find a sticker on the inside panel of the driver side door that has the recommended PSI (pounds per square inch). Check the treads as well to make sure they’re not worn out. Don’t forget to check the air pressure in your spare tire as well.

2) Car Overheating
Keep an eye on the temperature gauge and watch out for an “engine overheating” message or lit radiator icon on your dashboard. You may also notice steam coming from the hood.
Prevent It: Check your coolant levels at the beginning of every season. If the liquid doesn’t reach the FULL line on the reservoir, add a 50/50 mix of water and coolant.

3) Dead Car Battery
Although most people associate a dead car battery with winter, in fact, high temperatures can put extra stress on the battery and cause battery fluid to evaporate.

Prevent It: Have a professional check your battery, starter and alternator. And while it’s OK to leave your devices charging for a few hours with your car off, if you leave them plugged in overnight it’s not uncommon that you’ll need to jump start your battery the next morning.

CardinaleWay Acura Las Vegas Has A Great Service Department
