The Acura RLX has long delighted customers with its wealth of tech goodies, outstanding fuel efficiency and excellent crash-test scores. At Acura dealers and car dealers alike in or near North Las Vegas, the 2019 Acura RLX continues to excite buyers, who appreciate its powerful V6 engine, spacious and comfortable cabin, and famed reliability.
For 2019, the RLX gets a makeover that includes distinctive changes to the front end. There’s a new grille design, a bolder hood, restyled LED headlights and running lights, and chrome-trimmed air intakes. In the rear, the RLX gets new chrome exhaust tips and restyled LED taillights. There are new wheel designs and two new paint colors: Brilliant Red Metallic and Majestic Black Pearl. Inside, you’ll find redesigned seats. Drivers will enjoy the RLX’s new ten-speed automatic transmission.
The 2019 Acura RLX is available in two models, RLX and Sport
Hybrid. The RLX is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 310 horsepower and 272 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to the new ten-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard. Fuel economy is rated by the EPA at 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.*
The 2019 Acura Sport Hybrid relies on a powertrain that incorporates a 3.5-liter V6 engine and three electric motors. One motor is located in the front and the other two are housed in the back of the vehicle. Together, the hybrid system develops an impressive 377 hp and 341 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Sport Hybrid features Acura’s Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD). EPA estimated fuel economy checks in at 28 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
Standard features on the gasoline-powered RLX model include heated 12-way power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control and a moonroof. Also included is a dual-screen infotainment system with smartphone integration, navigation and voice recognition. Buyers will be happy to know the RLX comes with a host of advanced driver assistance features, including the new Traffic Jam Assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and a multiview camera. The RLX Sport Hybrid includes a few interior amenities not found on the gasoline version, such as a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, a head-up display, heated outboard rear seats, front and rear parking sensors and a surround-view camera. Also standard is a premium 14-speaker Krell audio system. Krell is a top manufacturer of high-quality home audio equipment, and the RLX Sport Hybrid is the only car where this exclusive brand is found.
Acura has always paid close attention to safety, so it’s not surprising that the 2019 RLX has excellent crash-test scores. The IIHS awarded the RLX with the highest scores in all crash tests and the highest rating of Superior in front crash prevention. The NHTSA awarded the RLX with its top score of five stars for overall safety.
