Acura RDX 2017 2

Our CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas dealership boasts a wide variety of preowned vehicles and Acura new cars. You definitely get a plethora of space and value for your money and that’s why one of our favorite newcomers is the 2017 #RDX. Let’s jump inside to see what this small yet luxurious SUV has to offer.

Features Galore

Although nothing new was added in 2017, there is still a long list of standard features inside this gem. The base model features front-wheel drive, 18-inch wheels, keyless entry and ignition, leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and sunroof. You also get rear privacy glass, automatic LED headlights, a rearview camera, leatherette upholstery, cruise control, liftgate, heated power front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and an auto-dimming mirror. Bluetooth audio and phone, an auxiliary audio jack, media player interface, a seven-speaker sound system with satellite radio and Pandora Internet radio control and a USB port are also included with this base model. Upgrade to the Technology package to get a touch split-screen interface instead.

Trim Levels and Packages

You have three options to choose from to add onto the base model. The Technology package will add traffic information, an eight-way power passenger seat, navigation, rear cross-traffic and blind-spot warning systems, GPS-linked climate control, smartphone apps, Aha Internet radio capability, a 10-speaker Acura/ELS sound system, HD radio and leather upholstery. You’ll get a lane-departure warning and keeping system, color trip computer display, automatic braking system, adaptive cruise control and a forward collision warning system with the AcuraWatch Plus package. Personally, we would recommend the Advance package. It’s not much more than the base version and you add automatic wipers, auto-dimming side mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, foglights, ventilated front seats, remote ignition and all of the features offered in the Technology and AcuraWatch Plus packages.

Did We Just Hear You Say FREE!?

Monday, January 30th, 2017

shutterstock_305282507

As Las Vegas locals, we know how to have a good time. We also know that being entertained in the gambling capital of the world typically comes at a high price. CardinaleWay Acura wants to let you in on a little secret, though. Five free-of-charge things to do in Las Vegas. You heard that right; FREE Las Vegas attractions!

Why Not Have Pancakes After Your Wedding?

  1. Running away to Vegas for your nuptials? You can say ‘I Do’ at Denny’s on Freemont Street. A $95 ceremony comes with a free cake made of, you guessed it, pancakes. If you’re not ready to take the plunge at Denny’s, your family can still see the pancake cake between 4 and 10 p.m., when kids eat free.

Free Drinks

  1. Well, kind of. Drinks are usually complimentary on most casino floors but you’ll still be forking out the dough one way or another. If you’re on a winning streak, another losing soul paid for your drink. If you’re on the losing side, you might have just spent $200 on a vodka soda. Pay amounts at slots at the older downtown Casinos are much lower. Gamble at the #GoldenNugget, The D or El Cortez and you’ll drink (virtually) for free.

Take A Stroll Down The Strip

  1. You could spend an entire day walking up and down the strip. Make sure to look for the Grand Bazaar Shops across from the Bellagio. If you visit the shops at night you’ll get to see the 14-foot LED-lit Swarovski Starburst.
  2. The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas solar powered sign is on the south end of the strip. There’s an ample amount of parking so you have enough time to Instagram at our favorite landmark.
  3. One of our favorite attractions is the Fountains of Bellagio. You’ll enjoy the music of Tiesto, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Bennett and Celine Dion. Definitely something you don’t want to miss and it’s hard to believe it’s free!

Best Sight To See: CardinaleWay Acura

If you can squeeze in one more thing, swing on over to West Sahara Avenue to visit our best in Nevada Acura dealership. It doesn’t cost a thing to test drive one of our preowned vehicles or Acura new cars. Check us out online at www.cardinalewayacura.com. We know you won’t be disappointed.

Five Reasons To Keep Up With Oil Changes

Thursday, January 26th, 2017

acura logo 2

Our Service Experts at #CardinaleWay Acura agree that routine oil changes are essential for your engine to live a long life. There are many moving parts in an engine and to avoid damage, and those parts need proper lubrication. That’s why oil plays such a big role in how well your vehicle runs. Oil breaks down over time and is contaminated by the dirty, dusty debris in our Las Vegas desert environment. It’s important to change your vehicle’s’ filter and oil once it becomes low or dirty. This will prevent costly repairs down the road and make certain your engine is working at its best.

We would like to share five reasons why filter and oil changes are important to your vehicle’s longevity.

  1. Your vehicle will last longer. More problems occur in the long run in an engine that’s been working harder than normal. An engine won’t have to work as hard if the dirty oil buildup is routinely removed. You’ll see a much higher resale value with a vehicle that’s had maintenance performed on a regular basis.
  2. Keeps engine clean. Dirt and dust are a nightmare for your engine. As time goes on, corrosion occurs and the oil will break down, eventually turning into “sludge.” If you want to keep your engine in pristine condition, make sure to get the filter and oil changed so the sludge and dirty particles can be removed.
  3. Engine parts stay cool. Overheating happens when moving parts don’t have enough lubrication to fend off friction. This can be prevented with an ample amount of clean oil.
  4. Gas mileage is improved. If there is not enough clean oil in the engine there will be poor engine lubrication. This in turn leads to increased fuel consumption and poor gas mileage.
  5. Keeps things lubricated. An engine is comprised of many moving parts. When the parts are going at high rates of speed, heat is created. If the right amount of oil lubrication isn’t present your engine will wear down significantly quicker than normal.

CardinaleWay Acura Service Experts are available if you’re not sure what specific grade and weight of oil your vehicle requires. Our convenient Acura location on West Sahara Avenue makes it easy to stop in for a quick oil change. Make it even easier by scheduling an appointment at www.cardinalewayacura.com. We pride ourselves in being the best in Nevada Acura and look forward to showing you why.

Quick Overview Of The 2017 Acura ILX

Wednesday, January 25th, 2017

Acura ILX 2017 1 When it comes to a sports sedan, the 2017 Acura ILX has everything you need. It’s pretty simple to select this vehicle over its luxury front-wheel-drive compact rivals. You have one transmission, one engine and three trim levels to choose from. If you’re looking for an easy decision, this is the vehicle for you.

The #ILX has not changed for 2017. You’ll see the 2016 updates comprised of higher quality interior finishes, LED headlamps and more available connectivity. Standard features include power driver’s seat, Bluetooth, power moonroof and a multi-view rearview camera. The Premium trim level will give you dual-screen infotainment, blind-spot monitors, leather, rear cross-traffic alert and a power passenger seat. You’ll get leather seat trim, a navigation system and 17” silver aluminum wheels with the Technology Plus package.

It might be the smallest family member of the Acura new cars but with 201 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, it still packs a good punch. The paddle-shifting twin-clutch 8-speed automatic transmission and 2.4-liter four cylinder engine keeps it feeling sporty and innovative. A sportier customer may choose to add the A-Spec package to get foglamps, 18” 10-spoke wheels and a spoiler.

The EPA rates the ILX at 25 miles per gallon for city driving and 35 mpg on the highway. It receives five stars from the NHTSA for crash safety, top scores from the IIHS and a Top Safety Pick+ rating for its available advanced safety systems.

This Is It. The 2017 Acura TLX.

Tuesday, January 24th, 2017

Acura TLXOur performance luxury sedan is nothing short of perfection. With three engine choices, four driving options and state of the art safety features, taking home the #2017TLX is never a bad idea. Let’s dig deeper into what this powerhouse has to offer.

Your driving experience will be enhanced every time you get behind the wheel of the TLX. The world’s first ever P-AWS technology or available SH-AWD handling system will give you the feeling of control. With the Precision All-Wheel Steering system, changing lanes, cornering or braking will be more stabilized because the toe angle of the rear wheels adjusts independently. The Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system allows the power to be distributed only when it’s needed.

No matter what kind of mood you’re in, there’s a driving option waiting for you with the Integrated Dynamics System. The Normal mode blends handling and comfort to give just the right amount of efficiency and performance. In the Econ mode, the cooling process and sensitivity are slowed, providing consistant speed in order to maintain its fuel efficiency. Be prepared for a little more engine noise with the Sport mode. It’s great if you’re looking for firmer steering and responsiveness with SH-AWD or P-AWS. Lastly, power is increased and paddle shifters are put into manual mode in the Sport+ option.

Keeping passengers, and yourself, safe is our biggest priority. The Acura manufacturer made sure to add top-notch safety features to the TLX. Its Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, or ACE, is comprised of an aluminum hood, hot-stamped door frame ring and magnesium instrument panel harness, all helping to disperse impact force in front collisions. We’ve even gone one step ahead with the CMBS. This Collision Mitigation Braking System is set up to detect objects ahead and determine closing speed and distance. Seat belts will tug and the brakes will kick in to remind drivers to take precaution. Accidents, however, are at times unavoidable. The system is designed to reduce force and impact when an unfortunate situation arises.

Acura TLX 2017

Another standard safety feature is the Vehicle Stability Assist. This VSA system combines ABS with various sensors to monitor individual wheel speeds, lateral G-force, yaw rate, throttle position, vehicle speed and steering angle. Engine speed is reduced and brakes are applied as needed when the potential for under or oversteering is detected or loss of traction occurs. A sense of awareness comes with the TLX, too. Whether it be the adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist or blind spot information system, you’ll drive with confidence and feel protected behind the wheel.

We might be the Gambling Capital of the World but you surely won’t be gambling when choosing the 2017 TLX. Please don’t hesitate to check out our complete list of Acura new cars at www.cardinalewayacura.com. Feel free to stop by CardinaleWay if you’re in the area! We can’t wait to show you what we’re all about.

A Little Bit Of Polish Goes A Long Way In The New MDX.

Monday, January 23rd, 2017

Acura MDX

CardinaleWay Acura’s favorite midsize luxury SUV is still holding down the fort as one of the best-selling three-row vehicles of all time. Acura surely didn’t want to mess with a good thing so this year’s MDX only saw a midcycle refresh rather than a brand new re-do. It’s an SUV solid enough for your big family, yet upscale and classy for a night in Las Vegas with friends. You get a little polish and a whole lot of luxury for the 2017 model.

Overall, there are very little changes. The MDX now boasts an audacious diamond front grille, automatic high-beams and an electric parking brake. You still have multiple choices when it comes to the engine. An impressive 290 horsepower is produced by a 3.5-liter V-6 and while getting plenty of pep, drivers will still get 27 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg in the city. The front-wheel-drive model gets 23 combined, while the all-wheel-drive option gets a mile or two per gallon less. You might notice that the engine stops while at lights. That’s because the MDX is equipped with a stop-start system to save fuel. If you prefer to keep the engine running it’s an easy push of a button on the center console.

A cool feature Acura has introduced in its vehicles is a push-button shifter. This also isn’t a run of the mill six-speed. Our MDX has a nine-speed automatic transmission that keeps the gears shifting, even while going under 40 mph. These might take some time to get used to but you will certainly enjoy them.

In addition to a sense of luxury under the hood, Acura continues to push the limits inside. Our MDX has multiple power outlets and plug-ins, leather seats and a 7-inch display screen as a part of the infotainment system. If upgrades are your forte, you can get 20-inch wheels and second-row captain seats with the Advance package.

Changes might be minimal this year for the #2017MDX but deciding to bring one of these home will always be a solid choice. We would love to show you the wide variety of options we have here at CardinaleWay Acura. Visit www.cardinalewayacura.com for a full list of our Acura new cars as well as preowned vehicles. As always, feel free to stop by our convenient Acura location on West Sahara Avenue to test drive one of these beauties.

The Ins And Outs Of The 2016 Acura RLX

Thursday, January 19th, 2017

Acura Rlx

When it comes to a safe and reliable luxury sedan, the 2016 Acura RLX doesn’t skip a beat. In a class of large vehicles, it has the highest safety rating. Not only will you feel secure when you take a ride through Sin City in this model but you’ll unquestionably feel the power it has under its hood.

Safety is one category you hope ranks high when looking for a new vehicle. Our customers will be happy to hear that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the RLX five-stars in its crash test rating. It also earned a Good rating in all five crash tests performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Our Acura manufacturer covers the 2016 RLX with a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty and a four-year/50,000-mile warranty.

The RLX is also equipped with driver assistance features that help our customers drive with confidence. Lane departure and forward collision warning features come standard in the vehicle. If you accidentally drift or the vehicle in front of you stops suddenly, the lane departure warning system will alert you. Another standard is adaptive cruise control which lets you select a short, medium or long following distance behind the vehicle in front of you. Typically, cruise control is used during highway driving, but our adaptive cruise control feature works well driving at slower speeds on city streets. Additional add-on options include front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera, lane keep assist and blind spot monitoring. These features will definitely keep our drivers feeling comfortable whether attempting to pull into a tight parking spot or driving in a relentless Las Vegas traffic jams.

Aside from safety, the front-wheel drive #RLX also performs impressively while earning an EPA-estimated 31 miles per gallon on the highway and 20 mpg in the city. In the luxury large vehicle class, it has one of the best fuel economy ratings. Hard to believe when there’s a V6 engine under the hood. Although the six-speed automatic transmission is quiet and responsive, drivers can improve acceleration by revving up the engine to higher rpms before shifting in the sport mode. In 2016, Acura introduced an all-wheel drive Sport Hybrid RLX able to produce 377 horsepower. We see three additional electric motors combined with the same V6 engine as our base RLX. This model receives a striking EPA-estimated 32 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg in the city.

If this sounds like the type of vehicle that would work well for you, please don’t hesitate to visit www.cardinalewayacura.com for a list of our current inventory. Our convenient Acura location on West Sahara Ave makes it a breeze to stop by and take a test drive. We look forward to seeing you soon at CardindaleWay Acura!

acura logo 2

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. reports that both Honda & Acura vehicles ended 2016 at a record high. Breaking all-time annual sales records, the numbers rose 6.4% from 2015’s record. Combined, the trucks nabbed not only a new monthly, but also yearly record, rising 17.4% in December and 5.6% in all of 2016.

In 2016 the Acura manufacturer annual sales were 161,360. In December, Acura sales were up 1.9% over the same month in 2015. Car and truck totals were 17,148 combined. Our popular MDX saw its best sales month of the year and for the fifth straight year exceeded 50,000 units. It remains the all-time best-selling luxury three-row SUV in America.

In the sedan category, the RLX made a significant gain in December and TLX sales were up, as well. December 2016 was the best month yet for our second-generation NSX, with 68 supercars sold.

Jon Ikeda, who is vice president and general manager of our Acura division said “With Acura trucks leading the way and the TLX performing strongly in a challenging market for sedans, we were able to finish our 30th anniversary year on a strong note. We’re excited to carry this momentum, with a strong future vision for Acura, into the new year.”

Quick Preview Of The 2017 Acura RLX

Monday, January 16th, 2017

2016-rlx-exterior-with-advance-package-in-slate-silver-metallic-brick-road-11When the Acura manufacturer decided to replace the RL in 2014, the RLX was debuted. This flagship luxury sedan has a lot to offer. Whether you’re looking for the basic model or a speedier version, the #2017AcuraRLX is a must have for our technology driven customers.

The Acura RLX doesn’t see many changes in its 2017 model. The only updates this year are streamlined trim levels, leaving customers with an Advance or Technology Package to choose from. A standard option delivers 310 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque in its simpler 3.5-liter V-6. Only the front wheels are spun by its V-6 which is mated to a 6-speed automatic engine. Its drivers will notice stable driving at high speeds and easy maneuverability at lower speeds with a four-wheel-steering system.

If you’re looking for something with a little more power you will want to go with the Sport Hybrid RLX. It puts our German rivals to shame when it comes to the powertrain department. You can’t help but notice 341 pound-feet of torque and 377 horsepower when you first start the engine. Its through-the-road hybrid all-wheel-drive system is formed with a V-6 engine combined with three electric motors. This tamer version of what you will see in our NSX supercar comes at a tamer price, as well.

Acura Rlx

The Technology Package comes standard with a navigation system, LED headlights, 19-inch wheels, and the AcuraWatch suite of electronic driving aids. Included features are rear cross traffic alert, blind spot and lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control. Heated seats and steering wheel, sun shades, remote engine starter, a 14-speaker sound system and power-folding side mirrors come with the Advance Package.

It’s safe to say that the 2017 Acura RLX is a must-see. Check out our full inventory of Acura new cars as well as our used vehicles at www.cardinalewayacura.com. As always, we here at CardinaleWay Acura would love for you to stop by to discuss your next vehicle choice. We are confident it will be the best dealership experience you’ve had!
