2018 Acura TLX Safety Features

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Monday, September 18th, 2017 at 9:35 PM

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas always has the safety of our customers first and foremost. That’s why our Acura location would love to introduce you to the safety features of the 2018 Acura TLX.

Street Smart

Acura’s goal is to create a society where there are no collisions and AcuraWatch has advanced safety and driver-assist technology to reach that goal. AcuraWatch is designed to improve awareness, assist with avoidance and help mitigate impact.

Blind Spot Information System

If the TLX detects another vehicle in the next lane riding along your blind spot, an indicator appears for you. If you attempt to signal in the direction of that vehicle, the indicator will flash and emit warning beeping sounds.

Rear Cross Traffic Monitor

Backing up is always a pain and this feature alleviates some of the pain by detecting approaching vehicles from either side while backing up. By communicating with the Multi-View Rear Camera, sound and arrow signals alert you of an oncoming vehicle.

Front & Rear Parking Sensors

Featured in the A-SPEC and Advanced packages, these innovative parking sensors detect when the vehicle is close to an object or surface with a series of beeps.

Vehicle Stability Assist

Wet conditions are always a nervous proposition when driving. Vehicle Stability Assist reduces the dangers of over and under steering and a loss of traction by applying brakes at each wheel as need and reducing engine power when necessary.

These safety features are one of the many reasons you should visit our Las Vegas dealership. Our staff will give you a tour of the 2018 Acura TLX as well as any of our Acura vehicles we have on site. We strive for excellent customer service and will answer any and all questions you have. Visit CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas today!

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas’ 24 Hours in Vegas

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Monday, September 11th, 2017 at 5:54 PM

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas knows that you can do a lot in Las Vegas over a weekend, but what about if you only had 24 hours? Our Acura location has the perfect day planned for you in Vegas.

Morning

Getting a good breakfast in your stomach during your time at Las Vegas is extremely important and we recommend going to Veranda at Four Seasons Hotel. You can order s’mores French toast, chicken and waffles and homemade pastries.

This leads us to our first attraction, the Las Vegas Welcome Sign, only a mile south of Four Seasons Hotel. It is the most iconic attraction in Las Vegas and a must see.

Next is the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York. This is strictly for the thrill-seekers so feel free to skip if you don’t want to go.

Noon

Once it’s about noon you should then see the Fountains of Bellagio to get some beautiful pictures. The water shoots up 460 feet into the air on weekends and is truly a sight to see.

Since you’re around the Bellagio, be sure to visit the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. This display changes with the seasons so you’ll never see the same stunning scenery twice.

For lunch, you can visit Caesars Palace to find the best buffet in town, the Bacchanal Buffet. This spread is sure to satisfy and you’ll want to fill up as dinner time is late in Vegas

To kill off the food, next you’ll want to do some shopping and sightseeing at The Forum Shops at Caesars. There are 160 stores, Roman statues, a replica of Trevi Fountain, The Fall of Atlantis fountain show and much more.

Evening

Go home and get dressed for the evening, next is the Chandelier Bar at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. This is a stunning scene as a three-story bar surrounded by dangling chandelier crystals is one of a kind.

Now it’s dinner time and you can get great food at Giada’s at The Cromwell. You owe it to yourself to dine at a celebrity chef’s restaurant, so make sure to order some fantastic food and drinks.

Night

For those with energy left in the tank, you can start your night at The Label at The Palazzo. This lounge has jazz music and signature drinks that are dedicated to Frank Sinatra.

Next is the XS Nightclub inside Winn Las Vegas, one of the top-five highest grossing clubs in the United States. You’ll have a blast dancing your heart out to some great music.

Lastly, you must surely be wanting to try to win some money at this point. So visit The Stratosphere to try make your night an even more memorable one. Now that’s how you spend a day in Vegas!

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Monday, September 4th, 2017 at 5:51 PM

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas is excited about what the future of Acura holds. At Monterey Automotive Week from August 15-20, Acura will showcase the 2018 RLX Sport Hybrid and the exciting ARX-05 DPi prototype race car. Acura new cars always excite us and we are happy to share this news with you!

The Acura brand continues to gain momentum with a singular focus on our Precision Crafted Performance DNA, which is brought to life in captivating products like the RLX and the ARX-05 prototype.”

The new RLX has incorporated design cues like the signature diamond pentagon grille from the Acura Precision Concept. These grilles were also implemented in the 2018 TLX sport sedan and 2017 MDX SUV. Another feature of the redesign is a more sculpted hood, new wheel designs, LED taillights, dual exhausts and gloss black rear diffuser.

Acura ARX-05

Marking an exciting return to prototype racing alongside Team Penske, Acura will campaign two ARX-05 cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, beginning with the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January 2018.

ARX-05 stands for Acura Racing Experimental, generation 5 and it is the latest in prototypes fielded by Acura beginning more than 25 years ago. This vehicle was designed by the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and the multi-year program will be administered by Honda Performance Development.

CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas’ Car Washing Tips

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Monday, August 28th, 2017 at 5:44 PM

Keeping your vehicle clean is an underrated but important habit for you to maintain during your vehicle’s life cycle. Our CardinaleWay Acura location recommends washing your vehicle at least once a month, to keep the vehicle’s value as high as possible.

Don’t Use A Normal Rag

Old material that you find in your garage or closet are not suitable for drying off your vehicle. They may feel soft, but they can easily damage your vehicle’s finish if they’re used a lot. A gentler wash comes from a microfiber cloth, which you can easily find online.

Use Two Buckets

Wiping dirt on your car repeatedly can cause damage to the paint. That’s why using two buckets is a good method to avoid that. Fill one up with soapy water and the other with water. Use the soapy water to apply to the vehicle then rinse it off in the bucket with just water.

Brush and Vacuum Floor Mats

The vacuum doesn’t magically make it all disappear. A stiff brush should be used first to loosen dust and mud.

Don’t Use a Circular Motion

Circles cause small scratches that are extremely hard to fix. It is recommended that you move your towel in straight or z-pattern motions. This is because a scratch is much easier to fix in a straight line.

Clean and Protect Your Seats

Cleaning and moisturizing leather seats is extremely important, especially if your car sits in the sun.

Wear Car-Friendly Clothes

Zip-up hoodies, belt buckles and bracelets can always hurt your paint job if you aren’t careful. Do not wear these clothes while you wash your vehicle and you’ll be happy you did when it comes time to sell your vehicle.

Visit Us Today!

If you notice any scratches that need buffing or have any questions about your Acura vehicle, visit our Las Vegas dealership today! CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas’ Three Underrated Vegas Attractions

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at 4:27 PM

Everyone knows the basics of Vegas: see the casinos, the fountains of Bellagio, etc. However, there are some destinations in Vegas that are overlooked and you may not initially consider. Our Las Vegas dealership came up with a few of our favorite underrated Vegas attractions.

The Mob Museum

Las Vegas at one point in time had the largest mob presence in the entire world. This museum shines a light on what the city was like during its infamous 20th Century gangster era. This building is located in the downtown area, a few blocks northeast of the Fremont Street Experience.

Visiting this exhibit will expose you to notorious criminals like Al Capone, Bugsy Siegel, John Gotti and the dedicated G-men. This also includes the other side of the coin with FBI agents like J. Edgar Hoover, Eliot Ness and Harry Anslinger.

New York-New York

It’s easy to spot New York-New York as it features the Manhattan skyline with scale models of the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge. It is so massive that it almost takes up a full block of the Strip!

This attraction recreates the big city experience with a New York-style pizzeria, several bars and multiple shops. The casino is filled with slot machines and table games for you, your friends and family to enjoy. There are other entertainment options like “Zumanity” by Cirque du Soleil and Hershey’s Chocolate World.

SPEEDVEGAS

Many thrill seekers are simply satisfied with playing cards with money on the line but others want a different experience. That’s where SPEEDVEGAS comes in, an exotic driving experience. Located just south of the strip, you can find yourself behind the wheel of a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Corvette and Audi if you like.

We’ve never heard of someone who didn’t enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime driving experience and you’ll be extremely happy you did it.

CardinaleWay Acura Recommends Visiting The Auto Collections Exhibit In Las Vegas

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Thursday, August 17th, 2017 at 10:26 PM

One of the best things to do in Vegas outside of gambling and the likes is to visit the LINQ Hotel & Casino on the Vegas strip between Spring Mountain and Flamingo Roads. The Auto Collections Exhibit has over 300 classic cars including muscle cars, racing cars, touring roadsters alongside many others and it’s all for sale!

This show is for car snobs and car noobs alike! You can find this show on the fifth level of the LINQ Resort & Casino and if you don’t have money to buy you’re more than welcome to take pictures of the vehicles. This exhibit is unique in that you’ll see lots of Rolls Royce vehicles, as well as old-school Corvettes, Volkswagen Beetles, Impalas, Ferraris and military vehicles.

Military vehicles include 1963 Chevrolet Nova Memorial Racecar that is on display for all of the fallen and living United States Marines in the Iraq war. Another military vehicle that’s shown is the 1941 Willy’s military Jeep that was used in the beginning of WWII.

If you show up with at least $350,000 to spend there are a few vehicles to consider. First, is the 1986 Ford R5200 Evolution, another is the 1967 Rolls Royce Phanton V PV23 and the top of our list would be the 1930 Duesenberg J Murphy Town Car.

On top of that, Jimmy Velvet, a singer and longtime friend of Elvis Presley, signs autographs and books at this exhibit on certain days of the week. Visitors are also welcome to watch old commercials as well as a Johnny Carson clip in which he describes his own classic car collection.

Acura’s Future Plans Revolve Around The RDX And Hybrid Vehicles

By Nathalie Godoy | Posted in Uncategorized on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at 10:24 PM

Acura has set its new sights on the future in the 2018 cycle and it is going to set a new standard from this point forward. CardinaleWay Acura of Las Vegas shares this forward-looking vision and we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Acura new cars.

ILX

The redesigned ILX will likely debut in 2018 as the 2019 Model. A new model would use the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to generate 205-horsepower. There is also a possibility that a performance-designed model could be released in the likes of the Civic Type R 2.0-liter turbo four.

TLX

Acura has given this midsize vehicle a new look for the 2018 cycle that added a new corporate grille and new sheet metal in the front and rear. In addition to that, there is a host of chassis and refinement upgrades and a new A-Spec trim package. There is an expected redesign due in 2020 as a 2021 model. There are rumors that it will get rid of the current engine in favor of Honda’s 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder and the 2.0-liter turbo four.

RLX

In the 2018 year, you can expect a cosmetic upgrade similar to those on the recent TLX update. The six-speed automatic gearbox has a chance to be replaced with Honda’s nine or ten speed automatic and hook up to the same 3.5-liter V6.

CDX

There hasn’t been much buzz about this China-exclusive vehicle coming to America. If it does, we can expect it to show up in 2019.

RDX

The redesigned RDX is the first major overhaul and will be expected in early 2018 as the 2019 model. This compact crossover will use the same platform as the Honda CR-V and you can expect to see Honda’s 2.0-liter turbo four to replace the current V-6.

MDX

The MDX was redesigned in 2017 with a new front clip and an optional hybrid powertrain. These changes will carry the crossover up until a new looks hits it in 2019 as the 2020 model.

NSX

Everyone is anticipating the various versions of the NSX to hit the marketplace. The models people are looking for is the open-top targa model, an all-electric version and a track-focused Type R model.

This bright gameplan for the future is another reason you should visit your CardinaleWay Acura dealership! You can share this vision with us and ask any questions you may have about our various Acura vehicles and what the future holds. Our Las Vegas dealership is excited to bring on this new wave of Acuras and we want you to be a part of it, too!
